Erie Ohio Capital's history

Erie Ohio Capital is a lending institution and emerging CDFI fund that fills a gap not covered by traditional lenders. Founded in 2016 as a way to meet significant, unmet capital demand for smaller-scale affordable housing and community development projects, we provide funding and low interest small business loans for organizations catering to underserved and disadvantaged regions that might otherwise struggle acquiring the financial resources they need.
It is our goal to strengthen each neighborhood of which we are a part.

Strengthening communities is at the forefront of our business strategy. Erie Ohio Capital has preserved and created roughly 1,250 affordable housing units, 100% of which were income-restricted to ensure affordability for low-income persons and families.

Erie Ohio Capital CDFI Fund, LLC’s primary mission is to act as a community development financial institution financing entity by providing financial products and services that benefit low-income individuals and communities and those who need access to high-quality affordable housing and flexible financing products. We work to empower low-income and underserved people and communities to enter the financial mainstream.
